Step 1: Install Metamask

Step 2: Buy ETH and some Matic on FTX or another exchange
Once you have your MetaMask you can go ahead and create an account with one of the crypto exchanges such as FTX. Go ahead and buy some ETH and Matic on the spot market, e.g ETH/USD once bought you will see your ETH and Matic in your FTX wallet tab. (Matic is the token that underpins the Polygon network, all transactions are paid for using this token, we cannot recommend a specific amount that is required due to the fluctuating price of Matic, however $50-100 worth should be ample).
